About the MLAA
The Mother Lode Art Association (MLAA) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, founded in 1951. Our federal tax ID (also known as an EIN) is 87-0715424. The MLAA promotes the arts and appreciation of the arts in our community.
We sponsor a Juried Art Show each year, and we donate proceeds from the show to support art programs in local schools. In the 2024-25 season we donated over $6,000. See this page for more info about the donations.
Plein Air Group meets weekly, weather permitting. ​Consider joining the mailing list to be notified of upcoming paint-outs.

Our meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of each month (except July, August, and December). We have a board meeting at 11:00 am (all are welcome), followed by a general meeting and art demo at 1:00pm. We meet in the community room at the Tuolumne County Library at 480 Greenley Rd in Sonora. For details of our upcoming meetings see our Events page.​​
