Release of Liability. MLAA will exercise reasonable care in handling and securing all submitted artwork. However, the association, its volunteers, and the host venue assume no responsibility or liability for any loss, theft, vandalism, or damage to the artwork during the transport, setup, exhibition, or teardown of the show.
Reproduction Rights: The artist retains all copyrights to their artwork. By submitting, the artist grants MLAA a non-exclusive, limited license to reproduce and publish images of the artwork for show promotion, marketing, education, catalog production, and general archival purposes in print and digital formats (including social media).
Sales and Commissions: All artwork may be offered for sale unless otherwise specified. MLAA will retain a 25% commission on all art sales made during the show. The artist will receive the remaining 75% of the retail price. Payouts will be issued to the artist within 14 days after the close of the exhibition.
Sales Tax: It is the responsibility of MLAA to collect sales tax for artwork sold at the show, and to submit such taxes to the state of California.
