Cindy Variz, the creative spirit behind Papa's Girlz, brings color, whimsy, and a cheerful outlook to everything she creates. Working in both pottery and textiles, Cindy believes that everyday objects should be as beautiful and delightful as they are useful.
A potter for many years, Cindy began her ceramic journey throwing on the wheel before transitioning to hand-building in recent years. Her functional pottery includes dishes, serving trays, tapas plates, bowls, and ring dishes, each featuring interesting textures, playful underglaze transfers, and a distinctive mix of bold colors and muted earth tones. Every piece combines artistic expression with everyday practicality.

Cindy's love of sewing grew during the years she spent caring for her parents and in-laws. What began as a creative outlet blossomed into another way to bring joy to everyday life. Her colorful cotton aprons, potholders, and luggage tags feature whimsical prints and lively patterns, all designed to be fun, functional, and full of personality.

Whether working with clay or fabric, Cindy's creations reflect her cheerful nature, playful imagination, and appreciation for the little things that brighten our days. Through Papa's Girlz, she celebrates the idea that practical doesn't have to mean ordinary.
