About the Artist
Marianne Hale Levitan is an artist, photographer, poet, and facilitator whose work begins with listening: to people, to our inner and outer landscapes, to the present moment.
Her work coalesces under the umbrella of Dancing Light Photography, Writing & Facilitation. Whether wandering Yosemite, the Sierra foothills, and beyond with her camera or writing by a babbling brook, she shares a slice of the world that invites you to look deeper, feel more, and respond with your truth. Her Poetography practice brings the two together, photograph and poem in conversation.
Marianne's work is an offering toward presence and authenticity, whether you are viewing, reading, or participating in her workshops and individual sessions. For her, facilitating creative process within a group is magical: an opportunity to witness truth, beauty, and belonging emerge in a container of safety and openness.
Four of her works are on display in this show: Ode to Yosemite, Threshold, Two Grand Dames: The Ahwahnee and Half Dome, and Yosemite Valley Chapel in the Moonlight.
Marianne is studying Healing Through Art at the Bay Area Center for Waldorf Teacher Training. She lives in Twain Harte, California, in a community she is proud to call home.
