About the event
“Clay is additive,” Lydia Osias always warns her new clay students. Who can walk by a fresh brick of clay and not give it a poke or a pinch? Working clay is a tactile experience and watching someone else work clay does not substitute for that. At the Mother Lode Art Association (MLAA) Art Party on Saturday, July 12, Lydia will guide everyone step by step through the process of making a “taco fish,” one of the best hand building projects for the warm weather. Kids, as well as adults if they admit it, love playing in water. Students will come away from the Art Party with a painted Taco fish, ready to dry and display. Art Party is limited to 20 participants, so come a little early and be prepared to have fun.
